The drought is over, Kambalda is rejoicing at their first victory for what seems like for ever as led by gun recruit Troy Wilson the Eagles in front of their biggest home game crowd for many a long day defeated the Roos by 18 points despite both teams not kicking a goal in the final term. The Eagles with a complete change in confidence after a terrible last start performance against Railways played great footy to win most positions on the ground and had Wilson who could finish the work with 6 goals. Many renditions of the Club song were sang on the ground and in the change rooms as the most patient of all GFL supporters finally had something to sing about in one of the most feel good afternoons of season 2007.
Played Sunday July 8th at Sir Richard Moore Sports Centre.

Best Players Boulder: Jason Rowe, Chayne George, Robbie Pearce, Matthew Wellstead & Henry Papertalk.
Matt Wellstead has now equalled the games record for Boulder with 204 joining Brian Hobba but sadly for his side they lost to Railways for the third time this year and have now virtually consigned themselves to a first semi final being 3 games plus percentage behind second placed Railways. In an entertaining contest Railways always had themselves in front during the match to close out a 13 point victory.
Railways now with four games left could fancy themselves a remote chance of catching Mines who are one game plus percentage above them on the ladder but this would involve beating Mines something they haven't done once this season.
The Ladder
Mines Rovers 10 wins from 12 games 162.82%
Railways 9 wins from 12 games 132.31%
Boulder 6 wins from 12 games 105.06%
Kalgoorlie 4 wins from 12 games 90.72%
Kambalda 1 win from 12 games 48.95%
This Week.
Will be a general bye while the Tom Briggs coached Landmark Side do battle in the B Section. Railways Pair David Stubbs and Aaron Rymer will be captain and vice captain respectively while the colts will play a catch up fixture Sunday at Digger Daws Oval.
