There is something about these two teams, close results abound recent fixtures in previous years and this one was no different and not for the first times the two teams drew at Digger Daws Saturday Night.  Respective coaches Shane Properjohn Kalgoorlie and Adrian Hooks Boulder (who came out of retirement to play) were left with that numb feeling of those 2 points lost, and given the close nature of the competition this result may haunt in the run to the finals.

Played at Sir Richard Moore Sports Centre Sunday Afternoon May 24th.

Railways again with a superior second half to grabbed outright top spot by defeating Kambalda by 37 points.  The Panthers are looking for further improvement with a host of quality players to return after this weeks bye, while Kambalda after being Grand Finalists in 2008 have only won the one game but thanks to Boulder’s draw above are one win out of the top four, and do have Troy Wilson to return in coming weeks.

This Weekend Round 9 (Foundation Day Long Weekend)

Saturday Night a vital match as Kambalda host Boulder with the winner to nab outright 4th place.

Sunday Afternoon at Digger Daws Mines Rovers play Kalgoorlie, the Roos won the first clash between the two and a win to the Roos will see them climb over Railways to top spot while a loss will see Mines leapfrog them into second, so the result does hold reward and repercussions for both.
