Best Players Boulder: Craig Mitchell, Colin Harvey, Justin Langridge, Scott Worthington & James Murray. Continuing the close game tradition these two sides have enjoyed, a very hot day at Sir Richard Moore did not disappoint those who like the heart beating thrusts of a close result and whilst Kalgoorlie always seemed to have the game in hand, they would have been both relieved and ecstatic to gain the four points. Both sides should be commended for taking this game all the way to the final bell as conditions were more suited to cricket season as 32 combined goals is testament to early season fitness of both teams. It’s no secret the first half set up the Roos win and forward movements we were converted and an 18 point break was true reward while the sunblock was applied for the second half. The Roo’s had great benefit up forward from Tom Betlehem and Matt Wellstead combining ten goals, while Former Eagle James Murray proved a difficult opponent with 4 goals for the Tigers. |
