The Eagles breathed life into possible consecutive finals campaign’s in saluting for their second win of the season, the first coming on the 18th of April.  Some masterful coaching by Stan Ward in playing key forward Troy Wilson in defence to manage Boulder gun and his former teammate in James Murray, who only kicked one goal, after 7 the week prior.  A powerful last quarter and 8 goals to former Western Bulldog and East Perth premiership player Shaun Baxter saw the Eagles home in this virtual elimination final.
